The singer, who is the last former Spice Girl to become a mum, showed off her baby bump for the first time on Friday.

But Mel insists she won't be following in the footsteps of her former bandmates by asking doctors whether it's a boy or a girl - and instead says she plans on keeping it as a "surprise".

The star says she will be calling the girls for advice, insisting they're all equally inspirational as mums.

She added: "They're all mums and they're all really good mums."

Mel announced she is expecting her first child with partner Tom last month.
