The twinkle-toed 34-year-old has made several trips to the Strictly Come Dancing wardrobe department to help design his own shiny little numbers.

He is hoping that revealing his fit body alongside dance partner Erin Boag, 33, will win over female fans.

A show source said: “Austin is supposed to be this tough rugby player but the truth is he absolutely loves all things skimpy and sparkly.

"The wardrobe department couldn’t believe it when he came down to say he wanted them to make him a special vest.

“Out of all the guys taking part this year, he’s the one who’s taken the most interest in what clothes he wears. He’s loving it.”

The married father of four has ­quickly become one of the show’s favourites.
